Australia’s Global Jet International has brought in a Challenger 604. The aircraft will be available for charter after all regulatory and crew training requirements have been completed, and the team is expecting VH-MOU to be fully online throughout the second half of Q1.
Its top features include: cabin comfort, with a true stand-up cabin with a 10-passenger configuration, delivering exceptional space and comfort for long-haul travel; performance – endurance of approximately 7–7.5 hours, ideal for trans-Tasman and South Pacific routes; and fleet consistency – as it matches the proven performance and comfort standards of other CL604s in the fleet, ensuring a seamless client experience.
MD Matt Frick says: “This jet enhances our operation by bringing more strength to the fleet, adding redundancy and availability in the heavy-jet, wide-cabin segment, reducing risk of capacity shortfalls. It gives us a geographic advantage, with a Townsville base enhancing northern Australia coverage and accelerating response times for Coral Sea and Pacific-Island missions. It also offers strategic integration as it complements our existing CL604s, improving scheduling flexibility and client options.”

It will also enable connectivity between regional hubs and major cities, as well as government and special ops, bringing support to official delegations and urgent response missions. It will also fly regional utility legs, including short-haul flights such as Cairns-Hamilton Island.
