Tamarack combines expertise with ForeFlight planning

September 12, 2025

The rollout begins with Cessna CJ2 and CJ2+ operators, and will continue in phases to include the Cessna 525 series (CJ, CJ1, CJ1+, M2 and M2 Gen2), followed by the Cessna 525B series (CJ3, CJ3+ and CJ3 Gen3).

Tamarack's Active Winglets deliver up to 33 per cent fuel savings.

Tamarack Aerospace Group, the developer of the Active Winglet and SmartWing technology, is entering a new phase of its collaboration with ForeFlight to deliver enhanced flight planning data for Active Winglet-equipped aircraft.

With a global fleet now exceeding 200 upgraded CitationJets, Tamarack has partnered with ForeFlight to integrate significantly higher-resolution performance datasets into the ForeFlight platform. These updates are built on thousands of additional fleet hours, reflecting the proven operational efficiency of Tamarack's Active Winglet technology.

“These updates ensure that ForeFlight users have access to the most refined and comprehensive data available,” says Jacob Klinginsmith, president of Tamarack Aerospace. “The original datasets were fully certified and FAA-approved, and this enhancement simply reflects the depth of real-world data gained from our expanding fleet. Our goal is to continuously improve operator confidence and maximise the benefits of Tamarack technology.”

ForeFlight users will see the new performance profiles appear automatically as the rollout progresses, providing improved accuracy for fuel burn, time en route and performance planning.

Tamarack's Active Winglets deliver up to 33 per cent fuel savings, extended range, enhanced climb performance and increased safety margins. With proven results on hundreds of CitationJets and certification across multiple variants, Tamarack's technology continues to set the standard for efficiency and sustainability in business aviation.
