The ACA launches international Air Charter Broker Qualification Training

May 11, 2023:

Global trade association The Air Charter Association (The ACA) hosted its first overseas Air Charter Broker Qualification Training session on 4 May 2023.

The Association welcomed 28 delegates who took part in the Level 1 Foundation Knowledge session in Munich, Germany. As well as delegates from Germany and the UK, members also joined the training from Algeria, Austria, France, Greece, Norway, Spain, the Netherlands and Kenya.

The qualification takes new and experienced brokers through a range of topics to both build and refresh their knowledge. There are three levels to the course, starting with Foundation Knowledge at Level 1, progressing through understanding operational aspects and flight management at Level 2, to Advanced Broker Skills at Level 3. Each course ends with an assessment based on content taught on the day combined with general aviation knowledge.

The Level 1 course focuses on essential core skills, from managing new enquiries to understanding pricing and contracts, to setting up and overseeing a charter flight.

Julie Ellis, training manager, The ACA says: “It was a pleasure to welcome aviation professionals to our first session overseas, more conveniently located for many of our international members”.

Julie joined The ACA in 2022 to support the association in developing the Broker Qualification and training offered to members, and launching overseas is the next step of this development.

Training is offered to members of The Air Charter Association at a subsidised rate, as one of the many benefits of membership. Details can be found on The ACA's website or by emailing training@theaircharterassociation.aero.
