Voluxis has secured a Maltese AOC from Transport Malta, its third certificate and first under EASA, giving clients a 9H EU-registered option alongside existing UK and San Marino AOCs.
Voluxis, a UK-headquartered charter operator and aircraft management company, has been granted an AOC from the Civil Aviation Directorate within Transport Malta (TMCAD).
Warren Gravell, CEO of Voluxis, says: “This adds a third AOC to our portfolio, complementing our UK and San Marino certifications. It is our first EASA AOC and allows free movement around Europe, to maximise our charter capabilities.
“All the team at Transport Malta have been exceptional throughout the application process, culminating in the granting of the Voluxis Malta AOC. Their professionalism and efficiency was second to none, and we are looking forward to a longstanding and successful relationship. We see Malta as an important part of our aircraft management strategy providing full access to commercial operations within Europe. Our clients have the choice between the UK, San Marino and now, Malta, to register their aircraft, with each AOC having a slightly different list of benefits.
“It is the perfect AOC for owners who primarily fly in Europe, offering greater operational flexibility. We've responded to our customers' demands by gaining this certification. We will have our launch aircraft on the AOC, which we can't wait to offer to our clients. We've been building a more complete offering with multiple AOCs, giving complete freedom to our aircraft owners.”
Charles Pace, director general for civil aviation at Transport Malta, adds: “I would like to congratulate Voluxis Malta on this achievement and extend my sincere thanks to the teams at Voluxis and CAD who worked on this project for their dedication and efforts. I would also like to thank Voluxis management for choosing Malta and we look forward to seeing the airline continue to grow in the coming months.”
The first aircraft to be operated on Voluxis' Maltese AOC will be a Global 7500. Gravell continues: “The Malta AOC offers our clients, both owner and charterers, the opportunity for free movement across the EU, whereas the UK and San Marino, whilst both having their own advantages, do not.”
