More than 140,000 pilots have trained with Bell worldwide, with 2,600 flight hours logged by instructors in BTA-owned aircraft last year.
Bell Training Academy (BTA) has accumulated 240,000 flight hours across its history, with more than 2,000 pilots trained in 2025 alone as demand grows from commercial and parapublic helicopter operators in Europe.
The 2025 total contributes to more than 140,000 pilots trained by Bell worldwide. BTA's former military pilot instructors logged 2,600 flight hours in BTA-owned aircraft last year, supporting the academy's hands-on training approach alongside classroom instruction, 3-D courseware, simulators and full touchdown autorotations.
Chad Sparks, general manager, BTA, says: “The Bell Training Academy is industry leading helicopter training grounded in OEM-approved data, combining deep technical expertise with real world operational insight. We aim to establish confidence and capability so operators can safely utilise their aircraft for diverse missions.”
BTA Valencia is Bell's principal European training facility, providing pilot and maintenance instruction to commercial and parapublic operators with OEM-standard courses delivered by expert instructors and supported by advanced simulation technology. It sits alongside training locations in the United States and Asia within Bell's wider global training network.
