Speedy Citation X becomes part of Hop-A-Jet fleet

June 21, 2026

With cruise speeds of up to approximately 525kts, a certified ceiling of 51,000ft and a range of about 3,140nm depending on conditions and configuration, the Citation X is built for fast nonstop trips.

The aircraft will be well-suited to time-conscious travellers.

Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter has added a Cessna Citation X to its growing managed fleet, expanding both the Fort Lauderdale Executive airport-headquartered operator's flight services and its aircraft management portfolio beyond its traditional Bombardier fleet. The addition creates new opportunities for aircraft owners seeking management services and further strengthens the company's fleet diversity.

Known throughout business aviation for its speed, the Citation X is widely regarded as one of the fastest civilian aircraft in business aviation. Hop-A-Jet is excited to bring the Citation X into its managed fleet, as the aircraft offers travellers a practical solution for domestic and transcontinental trips where time matters. The Citation X is commonly categorised as a super-midsize business jet, and its performance profile makes it well suited for passengers flying between major business and leisure destinations.

With cruise speeds of up to approximately 525 kts, a certified ceiling of 51,000 ft and a range of about 3,140 nm depending on conditions and configuration, the Citation X is built for fast nonstop trips on routes such as New York to Los Angeles and London to Miami, allowing travellers to cover significant distances in less time.

“The Citation X gives clients more flexibility when speed and performance matter,” explains Barry Ellis, president of Hop-A-Jet Worldwide Jet Charter. “For travellers, it's one of the most capable aircraft in its class, and for owners, it reflects our continued commitment to supporting a broader range of aircraft through our management, maintenance and flight services.”

Inside the cabin, the Citation X offers a comfortable environment featuring a 24-ft cabin and eight club seats designed for conducting business or relaxing en route. Its typical configuration accommodates small groups travelling with both personal luggage and work materials, while luggage capacity is generous enough to handle up to 12 pieces of baggage, including golf clubs, skis and trade show equipment. The aircraft's high-altitude capability can also allow for more efficient flight planning during certain operations, depending on weather, air traffic and routing requirements.

The Citation X joins Hop-A-Jet Worldwide during a period of continued growth, as the company aggressively expands its services to accommodate more flights across domestic and select longer-range routes. The addition also reflects the operator's continued investment in maintenance programmes, pilot training and operational support for the Citation platform while expanding the range of aircraft supported through its management services.
