Alongside the PC-24 agreement, parallel letter of intent outlines 24 PC-21 trainers alongside training systems and support.
The Indonesian Ministry of Defence has selected the PC-24 to support Indonesian Air Force transport pilot training, air transport and liaison missions. A contract for 12 aircraft has been signed with PT E-System Solutions Indonesia, the authorised defence contractor, with options for additional units.
The agreement includes ground support equipment, tools, spare parts, training and technical support from Pilatus Aircraft headquarters in Switzerland.
The PC-24 was developed for operational flexibility and is certified for single-pilot operation. It features a standard cargo door and approval for unpaved runway operations, supporting missions including instrument flight rules pilot training, transport and liaison duties. Pilatus will provide its integrated support programme to maximise fleet availability and maintenance efficiency.
Selection of the aircraft strengthens Pilatus’ presence in southeast Asia. The ability to operate from short and unpaved airfields, increasing access across Indonesia’s extensive archipelago of more than 17,000 islands, was a key factor in the decision.
