Pilots can complete transition training from earlier PC-12 variants entirely in the simulator, reducing time, cost and aircraft dependency.
Pilatus Aircraft has gained certification for its PC-12 PRO flight simulators, enabling their use in pilot training programmes built around the aircraft’s Advanced Cockpit Environment.
Based on the Garmin G3000 Prime, the simulators have been approved by both the European Union Aviation Safety Agency and the Federal Aviation Administration, and are now operational at Pilatus Aircraft's headquarters in Stans Switzerland and the USA via SimCom.
Developed by Frasca International, the Europe-based device has been certified as a Level 2 flight training device and a Level II navigation procedures trainer for multi-crew cooperation, while US approval places it at Level 6.

Designed primarily as a systems trainer, the simulator enables crews to build familiarity with the PC-12 PRO cockpit and practise procedures in realistic conditions, including abnormal scenarios and adverse weather. The platform allows repetition of complex situations, supporting safe aircraft operation.
Pilatus says simulator-based training reduces emissions compared with live aircraft training and allows differences training from earlier PC-12 variants to be completed entirely within the device, improving both efficiency and cost control.

A full-motion simulator is in development, with entry into service planned for 2028 at Fly7’s Lausanne training centre.
