Desert Jet secures 7.5 acres to grow services at KTRM

February 28, 2026

The expanded leasehold provides long-term capacity for Desert Jet Center as business aviation demand rises in the Palm Springs region.

Development at KTRM is scheduled to begin later this year.

Desert Jet has finalised an agreement with the County of Riverside to expand its leasehold at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport in Palm Springs, California, enabling development of an additional 7.5 acres to support growth of its Desert Jet Center FBO and aircraft maintenance services.

The agreement reinforces Desert Jet’s long-term commitment to KTRM by providing additional leasehold acreage adjacent to its existing FBO campus. The expansion will enhance hangar infrastructure, increase aircraft parking capacity and scale on-field maintenance capabilities to meet growing demand from business aviation operators.

“This agreement represents an important step forward for Desert Jet’s KTRM location and secures our ability to meet our existing demand,” says Jared Fox, CEO, Desert Jet. “The expansion will allow us to increase capacity, enhance our maintenance capabilities and continue delivering the elevated service experience that defines Desert Jet Center.”

Desert Jet has operated at Jacqueline Cochran Regional Airport for many years and has invested steadily in infrastructure supporting business aviation activity serving the Coachella Valley and Greater Palm Springs region. The airport has become an increasingly important gateway for corporate aviation, seasonal travel and high-value visitors.

The planned development will strengthen Desert Jet’s ability to accommodate a broader mix of aircraft, increase access to maintenance services and improve operational efficiencies.

“This expansion represents a long-term investment in our customers, our team and the KTRM airport,” adds Fox. “We are excited to begin construction on this next phase and continue operating Desert Jet Center as a premier destination for business aviation.”
