Desert Jet and 4Air pledge to reduce carbon footprint

April 23, 2026

Desert Jet Center has achieved the 4Air Facility Neutral Certificate. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to integrate measurable environmental accountability alongside continued operational expansion.

Desert Jet's recent growth includes new hangar development at Yampa Valley Regional in Hayden, Colorado and planned ramp and apron expansion at KTRM.

In recognition of Earth Day, Desert Jet has unveiled a sustainability partnership with 4Air, reinforcing its commitment to responsible growth across its expanding aviation platform.

Through the partnership, Desert Jet has offset 43 metric tons of CO2 via verified carbon offset projects tied to operations at Desert Jet Center, its flagship FBO at Jacqueline Cochran Regional airport in Palm Springs, California. As part of this effort, Desert Jet Center has achieved the 4Air Facility Neutral Certificate. The initiative reflects a broader strategy to integrate measurable environmental accountability alongside continued operational expansion. This builds on Desert Jet's existing sustainability initiatives, including the ongoing availability of SAF at Desert Jet Center to support lower lifecycle carbon emissions, compared to conventional jet fuel.

“Growth at Desert Jet is intentional, and how we grow matters,” says Desert Jet CEO Jared Fox. “At Desert Jet, we're committed to scaling our business in a way that is both operationally excellent and environmentally responsible. Partnering with 4Air allows us to take tangible, credible steps toward reducing our impact.

“This is just the beginning. As we continue to expand our footprint, sustainability will remain embedded in how we build, operate and serve our guests.”

Desert Jet's recent growth includes new hangar development at Yampa Valley Regional in Hayden, Colorado and planned ramp and apron expansion at KTRM, aligning infrastructure investment with sustainability initiatives such as carbon-neutral facility operations and exploration of SAF.

“We are pleased to welcome Desert Jet as a partner in the 4Air sustainability framework,” concludes Nancy Bsales, 4Air COO. “Its approach reflects a strong balance between growth and measurable sustainability efforts.”
