The operator has around 10 aircraft in its fleet at the moment. Thomson reveals that the balance is probably more towards the lighter jets, but Air Charter Scotland is now going through a shift towards larger aircraft.
Air Charter Scotland is reporting that business is good, adding that the market appears to have stabilised in the wake of the global pandemic.
COO and accountable manager Derek Thomson says: “This year has been positive. There’s definitely been a sense of settling in the market following COVID, and things aren’t quite as intense as they were during that period and the couple of years after it. The airlines are at full strength, and the charter market is settling down. It still looks busy, and I would say we’re ahead of where we were pre-COVID, but it’s certainly not as intense as it was.”
The operator has around 10 aircraft in its fleet at the moment. Thomson reveals that the balance is probably more towards the lighter jets, but Air Charter Scotland is now going through a shift towards larger aircraft, as that’s where it sees the growth opportunities. “We’ve got a few things on the horizon and some interesting business developments coming up in the next few months, which aren't quite ready to be released yet. It’s very exciting though and will help with the growth of the business.
“Everything we’ve done over the past 20 years has been a steady evolution. The opportunities ahead are going to continue that evolution and will help elevate the company. 2026 and onwards is looking extremely promising.”
