Flyvbird and FlYellow partner for German Caravan operations

August 11, 2025

The first flights are set to begin in September 2025 using FlYellow’s AOC and Caravan aircraft across seven regional routes.

Flights will operate under flYellow’s AOC using a Caravan registered D-FEIC.

Flyvbird, the AI regional air travel start-up from Germany, is working with Passau-based air operator FlYellow to launch on-demand services using a Cessna Grand Caravan. Flights will begin next month using flYellow’s AOC.

Initial connections will include Friedrichshafen, Mönchengladbach, Münster/Osnabrück, Hamburg, Frankfurt, Hof-Plauen and Berlin Strausberg. Passengers can already request bookings on the Flyvbird platform.

The D-FEIC Caravan will serve high-end charters and single-seat on-demand services. Flyvbird will provide its flexible digital booking system and flYellow will oversee flight operations.

“With FlYellow, we have found a strong operational partner that shares our mission: to redefine regional flyin; more flexible, sustainable and truly customer-centric,” says Tomislav Lang, CEO of Flyvbird.

“Our cooperation with flyvbird demonstrates how combining innovation with experience can drive the future of aviation,” adds Harald Eichberger, managing director of FlYellow.

The partnership will form the base for further expansion across Germany and beyond. More aircraft and routes are already being planned.
