TAM AE gets eighth win as best passenger air transport company

December 5, 2023

This achievement comes on the back of the opening of a VIP lounge at Congonhas airport, its IS-BAH and IS-BAO certifications, plus investments in team training, hangar modernisation and the purchase of equipment.

TAM Aviação Executiva has, for the eighth time, been named best company in the passenger air transport segment of the Biggest & Best transport rankings organised by Transporte Moderno magazine. An awards ceremony took place at the Transamérica Expo Center in São Paulo, and highlighted the best companies in the services, industry and transport operator sectors. The ranking of the best and largest is drawn from data in the companies' annual balance sheets.

TAM AE president Leonardo Fiuza says: "This achievement demonstrates how committed we are to the solidity and efficiency of the company, always seeking to expand our competitive position, focusing on expansion and improvement of processes, resulting in the best offer of products and services in the segment."

This company claims this is the result of the consistent work that the company has been carrying out to improve all areas that directly impact the service provided to the customer. One example is the inauguration of a new VIP lounge at Sao Paulo's Congonhas airport.

TAM AE is also investing in and moving towards the next phases of its IS-BAH and IS-BAO certifications. Last year, it became the first Brazil-based company to obtain both certifications. In addition, it has invested in team training, hangar modernisation and the purchase of new equipment.

TAM's maintenance service centre also contributes to the company's success. Last year, it opened a new base in Goiânia for preventive and corrective maintenance services. At the beginning of the year, the company implemented CS TAM, an exclusive communication channel that centralises all customer demands related to the maintenance of their aircraft, and it plans to execute another upgrade to its executive aircraft painting booth at its Jundiaí base.

Demand for its electronic upgrades and installations service has increased significantly in recent months, to comply with regulations such as ADS-B Out, first implemented in the US and Europe but which should soon come into force in Brazil as well. Also noteworthy is its certification as an authorised service centre for Pratt & Whitney and Williams engines, and the implementation of a new ERP system for the management and operation of the company.

In October, TAM AE won the award for Bell global helicopter sales representative for the second consecutive year. Furthermore, it was recognised for making the highest number sales of Cessna Citation jets and Beechcraft King Air aircraft worldwide in 2022.
