Albinati Aeronautics' Falcon 6X achieves first landing at Cannes Mandelieu Airport (LFMD)

Swiss operator Albinati Aeronautics is proud to announce that its Dassault Falcon 6X, managed under the company's Albinati Aviation Maltese AOC, has become the first of its type to land at Cannes Mandelieu Airport in France. The landing took place today at 18:00 local time, marking a milestone both for Albinati Aeronautics and for business aviation operations at LFMD.

This authorisation was granted following close collaboration between Albinati Aeronautics' operational teams, Cannes Mandelieu Airport and Dassault, ensuring full compliance with the stringent regulatory, safety and environmental requirements governing access to Cannes Mandelieu. This certification underlines the expertise and dedication of Albinati Aeronautics' teams, who successfully obtained the necessary approvals for the wide-cabin jet.

Located at the heart of the French Riviera, Cannes Mandelieu Airport is one of Europe's most regulated and sought-after private aviation gateways, particularly during major international events. Due to its short runway, operational constraints and strict noise abatement procedures, access is limited to a select number of business aircraft and specially trained crews.

This milestone came just one week after the new-generation 6X demonstrated its performance on the short runway of Gstaad Airport in Switzerland, during the Hublot Polo Gold Cup Gstaad. Together, Saanen and now Cannes highlight the proven ability of the aircraft and Albinati's crew to operate safely and efficiently in some of the most demanding environments.
