Wyvern renews Premier Private Jets's Wingman status
May 29, 2025:Premier Private Jets, an integrated US provider of charter, FBO and MRO services headquartered in Stuart, Florida, has received renewal of its Wingman safety status from Wyvern, a leading safety auditor and the firm that established the first air charter audit standards in the aviation industry.
“Wingman certification is a byproduct of our ongoing safety focus,” said CEO Josh Birmingham, himself a 15,000-hour corporate pilot. While the audit is conducted every two years, Premier's Flight Leader programme touches on safety and safety-related tasks quarterly. The company is a member of the Air Charter Safety Foundation's ASAP programme, designed to enhance industry safety through voluntary reporting of safety issues.
Premier has implemented its own safety management system (SMS) and an enterprise resources planning (ERP) system, which are data-driven means of monitoring safety. The company also subscribes to Fireside Flight Monitoring, which provides 24-hour tracking of business aircraft for non-standard changes or emergencies and can help coordinate a response.
Lastly, the company conducts a flight risk assessment before conducting any flight. These proactive measures have contributed to an unblemished safety record over the company's 12 years in operation.
Wyvern Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an evaluation of operational activities, a review of the company's operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements, and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.
