Ventura Air Services embraces new era of leadership with strategic executive transitions

March 24, 2025:

Ventura Air Services, a Farmingdale, New York-based provider of private jet charter and aircraft management services since 1955, is pleased to announce significant leadership transitions within the company. Nik Tarascio, the current CEO, will be assuming the role of executive chairman of the board, while Sam Wolf, the current president, will transition to the role of chief executive officer, effective immediately.

Nik Tarascio has successfully led Ventura as CEO since 2010, overseeing substantial growth and maintaining a steadfast commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. His transition to executive chairman will allow him to focus on Ventura's long-term strategic initiatives and ensure that the company continues to build upon its six-decade legacy as a pioneer in the private aviation industry. Sam Wolf, who has served as president of Ventura since 2020, will step into the role of CEO, bringing his extensive experience and deep understanding of the aviation sector to the forefront of the company's operations. Under his leadership, Ventura is well-positioned to uphold its commitment to excellence in customer service, safety and innovation, while strategically expanding its operations.

Sam Wolf expressed his enthusiasm about his new role, stating, “It's an honour to lead Ventura as CEO. I'm excited to build on the strong foundation we've established under Nik, continuing our mission of building the charter company we have always wanted to work for; a company that operates with integrity, takes pride in our work and is attentive to the needs of our employees.”

“We are excited about these new changes within our executive team,” said Nik Tarascio. “This transition will leverage our leadership's strengths and position Ventura for continued success. I look forward to focusing on innovation and strategic initiatives that will continue to propel Ventura forward.”

Ventura has experienced tremendous growth over the past five years and is now ranked as the 25th largest Part 135 operator in the country based on annual flight hours. The company manages a floating fleet of Citation Excel and Challenger 604/605 aircraft through an innovative charter lease model, setting new standards in the industry.
