The UAV Leasing Company, a leading Irish aerospace consulting firm renowned for advancing cleaner aviation solutions and carbon capture initiatives through its Corp Jet division, has proudly announced the launch of BlinkShare, an innovative Progressive Web App (PWA) set to revolutionise the private aviation market by seamlessly connecting travellers with operators.

Empty legs, the return or repositioning flights of private jets without passengers, present a unique opportunity. For operators, they offer a way to offset costs and generate additional revenue. For travellers, they provide an affordable gateway to the flexibility, convenience and time-saving benefits of private aviation. However, challenges persist. Regulatory constraints, such as Part 135 restrictions, limit how operators can market these flights, while operators often prioritise profit over efficiency.

BlinkShare aims to transform the empty leg market by providing a digital platform that connects operators and travellers in real time. By fostering a collaborative community, BlinkShare aims to "recycle" empty private jet flights, unlocking untapped potential and driving progress toward a more efficient and sustainable aviation model.

At the core of BlinkShare lies a cutting-edge 3D globe interface, offering unparalleled situational awareness. This interactive map highlights even the smallest airstrips, empowering travellers to post their travel needs while enabling nearby aircraft to pick up requests, creating opportunities for "hitch-jetting."

Key features of BlinkShare include:

- Operator and broker solutions: Part 135 operators and brokers can list flights and manage flight data directly within the app.

- Crowd-funded flights: Travellers can pre-book seats for free, enabling flight managers to consolidate demand and crowdfund flights efficiently.

- Enhanced security: In-app encrypted messaging, KYC (Know Your Customer) compliance and cryptographic token-based payments ensure secure transactions.
