Victor's new app is an industry first, offering sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) for all private jet bookings worldwide
December 10, 2024:Global on-demand aircraft charter company Victor, a subsidiary of Serenity Aviation Holding, an IHC joint venture, has launched the first app enabling SAF to be voluntarily purchased for all bookings, irrespective of aircraft or departure airport.
At check-out, using an intuitive slider, clients can easily choose how much fossil fuel they want to replace with Neste MY SAF. Based on the estimated fuel burn of the charter booking, the subsequent estimated carbon emissions and the amount of SAF purchased, app users will immediately see the expected lifecycle co2e reduction in tonnes.
Users of the new app will be able to make use of a range of industry-first benefits and solutions instead of being beholden to an opaque, unregulated sector. Unlike any other private jet charter app, Victor's clients will be able to see the name of the operator, the aircraft tail number and actual photos on every quote. With this level of unrivalled transparency, Victor's new app users can always trust the quotes give a complete view of the market.
Toby Edwards, co-CEO, Victor states, “Our role is to make chartering private aircraft as easy as possible. How can clients choose the right option if they don't know the fundamentals, such as who the operator is or the estimated emissions of an aircraft? As the leading on-demand private jet charter company worldwide, we have a responsibility to raise awareness of SAF. Whether or not clients choose to buy it is at their discretion, but at least we have made it as easy as possible via our new app.”
Victor's revolutionary new app comes before the conclusion of the HM Treasury's recently launched consultation, which suggests further reform to Air Passenger Duty for private jet flights. Victor is now officially calling for an exemption on APD for all private jet charter clients who voluntarily purchase SAF when they book.
In conjunction with the bid to encourage even more voluntary SAF contributions in the UK, this will also be the world's first Arabic on-demand jet charter app, helping to spread awareness about sustainable aviation fuel in the Middle East market.
Toby Edwards concludes, “Victor's new app is a major milestone for business aviation globally. It puts climate action front and centre of the private jet booking process, while also driving wider awareness and uptake of SAF, not just in Europe and the US, but in the $2 billion MENA market that we are revolutionising through our transparent approach. Our sector is already under a great deal of scrutiny but we believe that those who show leadership and buy SAF should not be penalised further for flying private.”
Victor's Abu Dhabi-based team will launch the new app to key stakeholders within the private aviation sector in person from Stand 492 at the MEBAA show from 10-12 December, at DWC, Dubai Airshow Site.
Available for download on both iOS and Android (in both Arabic and English), the new Victor app offers customers unique access to real time charter pricing, side-by-side jet comparisons, instant booking, trip management and the best operators in the market, all from the palm of their hand.
