New talent joins Alpes Hélicoptères strengthening operations and business development

September 19, 2024:

Alpes Hélicoptères, a French rotary operator and part of Léman Aviation, has announced the arrival of Nicolas Gachon, who joins the team to take on dual roles, reinforcing both its operations department and business development initiatives, particularly the company's helicopter co-ownership programme. This strategic recruitment supports the company's growth ambitions as it continues to solidify its position as a leader in air mobility across the Alps and Côte d'Azur regions.

Nicolas Gachon brings a unique combination of legal, financial and operational expertise to Alpes Hélicoptères. With a strong academic background, including an MBA in Management from Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas and a Master's in Air Transport Law and Management from IFURTA, Nicolas is developing a solid foundation in aviation. His previous roles include working as a legal intern at Mazoyer Guijarro Avocats in Paris, specialising in aviation law, and gaining experience in structured finance and project management at Crédit Industriel et Commercial (CIC).

Nicolas also has hands-on experience in aviation operations, having worked with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGAC) in the Indian Ocean region. Additionally, he is a licensed private pilot, further complementing his legal and financial expertise with practical aviation skills.

In his new role, Nicolas will divide his time between operations management, where he will support the existing team in ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and business development, focusing on expanding Alpes Hélicoptères' innovative co-ownership programme. His expertise in finance, legal structures and aviation operations will be instrumental in driving the company's continued growth. Additionally, Nicolas will represent Alpes Hélicoptères directly with stakeholders in key cities and resorts across the French-Swiss Alps and the French Riviera. He will also be present at major business aviation and helicopter events, further enhancing the company's visibility and industry network.

Vincent Pollet and Nicolas Miras, co-managing directors of Alpes Hélicoptères, stated: "We are excited to welcome Nicolas Gachon to our team. His legal and operational expertise, combined with his passion for aviation, will be a great asset as we continue to innovate and grow."

Nicolas Gachon added: "I am excited to join Alpes Hélicoptères in this period of growth. There are many opportunities ahead for the company, and I look forward to meeting our clients and partners, while closely collaborating with the team to support our ongoing projects and initiatives."

Based in Annecy since 2017, Alpes Hélicoptères is an operator as well as a helicopter pilot school. Specialising in air mobility and aircraft management, the company boasts a varied fleet of helicopters for services such as leisure flights and VIP transfers. Today, it is the only airline in France to offer a helicopter co-ownership programme, leveraging new acquisition, financing and operational perspectives to its customers.
