FlightWorks achieves renewal of Wyvern Wingman certification
June 1, 2024:FlightWorks, Inc., a business jet operator headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, has demonstrated its designation and renewal of the prestigious Wyvern Wingman certified operator by maintaining Wingman status through the Flight Leader Program with quarterly coaching by Wyvern safety experts. The Wyvern Wingman standard, the first air charter audit standard in the aviation industry, provides the gold standard in safety that allows air charter customers to assess performance expectations against recognised industry best operating practices before purchasing air charter services.
“We are proud to once again be granted Wyvern Wingman certification. The Wyvern Wingman standard is one of the most rigorous benchmarks to achieve in our industry. We have chosen to take the next step and become part of the Flight Leader Program, which fits well with our appetite for continuous improvement throughout FlightWorks,” says Dan Lucey, president of FlightWorks.
Wyvern Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of the evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, review on the company operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.
“Wyvern celebrates FlightWorks' achievement of successfully renewing its Wingman certification. We applaud FlightWorks' leadership, which has identified safety as a core value, and we salute its team for embracing excellence at all levels,” says Andrew Day, Wyvern's senior vice president of operations.
