Flapper reaches 2,000 aircraft registered for air charter and registers best July in company's history

August 10, 2023:

Flapper, a Latin American leader in technology for contracting air charters, reached the record mark of 2,000 aircraft registered on its platform in July. July was also responsible for the best performance of executive charters in the company's seven years of operation, with growth of 35% compared to July of last year.

Paul Malicki, CEO of Flapper, says: “Despite the low season in Brazil, our main market, July was the best month in Flapper's history. A recent trend is that more and more customers from Latin America are looking for executive flights abroad. Europe accounted for the largest revenue share this time around, and our team in Lisbon recorded exceptionally high demand, both on business and leisure flights.”

Flapper launched in 2016, initially as a pay-per-seat helicopter booking app. The startup quickly moved to incorporate a full air charter offering, including private jets, corporate jets and turboprops. Headquartered in Brazil and with local operations in South America, Mexico, Florida and Portugal, in the last two years Flapper has achieved 320% growth and served 30,000 customers.

More than 2000 aircraft with up-to-date maintenance and safety certifications are available on the Flapper platform. A dedicated team called “aircraft hunters” actively seeks out new commercial jets, turboprops and helicopters, including those operating under RBAC 135 (air taxi) and RBAC 121 (commercial aircraft) certificates. Interested operators usually receive a personal visit from the local or regional sales team before their inventory is entered into the system.
