TAG Aviation Cayman's AOC achieves Wyvern Wingman and IS-BAO accreditations

TAG Aviation Cayman has secured accreditations for both Wyvern Wingman certified operators and the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO).

TAG Aviation has been a long-standing operator of Cayman Islands registered aircraft for private owners but was awarded an air operator certificate (AOC) by the Civil Aviation authority of the Cayman Islands (CAACI) in May 2022. The company also holds AOCs from San Marino, Malta and the UK, which are also Wyvern and IS-BAO certified.

Wyvern Wingman operators are evaluated by the Wingman Standard criteria. The scope of evaluation includes an assessment of operational activities, review of the company's operational history and safety records, safety management system (SMS), internal evaluation programme, administrative compositions, technical documentation, pilot and aircraft records, training requirements and maintenance operations including technician training and experience.

IS-BAO, launched in 2002 is globally recognised to assist operators apply industry best practices by challenging them to review and compare their safety-related policies, processes and procedures, and then make improvement, elevating them to the worldwide standard for business aviation.
