Hill Aircraft expands capabilities through strategic alliances

July 18, 2023:

Hill Aircraft, Atlanta's only family-owned and operated FBO, is pleased to announce an expansion of the current services it offers at Fulton County Executive Airport (KFTY) in Georgia. Two new business relationships will enhance Hill's capabilities in charter, aircraft management and maintenance, further elevating the level of aviation services available in the Atlanta area.

First, Hill has joined the Priester Aviation family of companies for its aircraft charter and management services, and will operate under the Hill Private Aviation name. Priester Aviation is one of the largest and most experienced private aviation companies in the United States, specialising in aircraft charter and management. By joining the larger Priester family, Hill's executive charter and management services will have nationwide infrastructure and resources to grow within the region. Hill's expertise in Atlanta complements Priester's in the Midwest and fellow Priester Aviation company, Mayo Aviation, in the Rocky Mountain West.

Family-led businesses have always delivered the most customer-focused aviation services built on fostering long-term relationships and loyalty. Since 1945, Priester Aviation has prided itself on providing personal service while expanding its legacy to include greater resources and capabilities for its clients.

Since 1955, Hill Aircraft has provided its own version of 'Sensational Southern Service' to its Atlanta-based customers, building client relationships that span decades. Priester Aviation has respected those connections and the heritage of Hill Aircraft and is thrilled that Hill's charter and management services will be part of the growing Priester Aviation family of companies.

“We looked for a company to align with in this service area that had similar values and business practices as our own, and we are excited to join with Priester Aviation to expand the capabilities for our customers,” said Guy Hill Jr., Hill Aircraft chairman and CEO.

“We recognise how important 65 years of relationships are,” Priester Aviation chairman and CEO Andy Priester said. “Now Hill, along with Priester and Mayo, can grow with added infrastructure and support, while still honouring and respecting what has already been built over the last six decades. Hill's culture and people have been central to its success. We're excited to engage Guy and his team as part of the larger Priester family as we thrive together.”

This alignment allows all three companies to grow in future opportunities together and offer clients more than ever before in charter and aircraft management.

Second is Hill Aircraft's alliance with Stevens Aerospace for maintenance and parts services. The Stevens team has been setting the standard for excellence in the world of aircraft maintenance, repair and refurbishment for more than 70 years. The Stevens legacy for precision, dedication and a genuine love for aviation has helped it grow from a little-known aircraft service department to one of the premier MROs in aviation with three locations at Greenville, South Carolina (KGYH), Dayton, Ohio (KDAY), Nashville, Tennessee (KMQY) and now a fourth at Hill Aircraft in Atlanta, Georgia (KFTY).

“We are excited to expand our footprint into the Atlanta area with a fixed location. Our mobile service unit has been serving Atlanta but with the addition of this hangar space, we can expand our passionate people delivering exceptional service,” said Stevens president Christian Sasfai.

Stevens Aerospace will operate from the hangar previously occupied by Hill Aircraft's maintenance and parts departments. Stevens brings exceptional expertise in maintaining and servicing the world's most advanced airframes, further improving the level of services for Hill Aircraft's customers and strengthening the capabilities available at its FBO location.

As the number one-rated FBO in Georgia, Hill Aircraft's strategic alliances with these two exceptional service providers, along with Duncan Avionics who has already been a long-time service partner on location, will create an elite combination of aviation support for its customers and take the company's growth into the future.

The FTY the FBO will continue to operate independently under the legacy Hill Aircraft brand.
