Lider Aviacao wins ANAC's SustenAR award

Líder Aviação, the Brazilian full service executive aviation company, has just received, the SustentAR Program award, during the fourth edition of the Sustainable Aviation event held in Brasília by Brazil's civil aviation authority Agência Nacional de Aviação Civil (ANAC). The award was launched in the last edition of this event in 2022, when Líder was also the winner.

The award evaluates the results of Brazilian air operators with the best ratings in ANAC's SustenAr programme, which seeks to encourage everything from conduct to proactive initiatives related to sustainability in aviation.

The award criteria are linked to the five groups related to sustainability in aircraft operations: organisational management and environmental education; energy transition; operational efficiency; atmospheric emissions and natural resources. Topics such as the energy transition through the use of sustainable fuels, operational improvements and the reduction of carbon and pollutant emissions are among those addressed by the programme.

“Having the recognition of a unique initiative such as the SustentAR award in the air taxi category confirms that we are treading a path of evolution and commitment to sustainability in aviation,” highlights Líder's director of quality, safety, environment, health and integrity, Jorge França.

Líder's executive attended the event in Brasília to receive the award from the directors of ANAC, Ricardo Catanant, Tiago Pereira and Rogério Benevides, in addition to the National Secretary of Civil Aviation, Juliano Noman.
