BHS Aviation receives operating licence for jets

February 14, 2023:

European rotary operator BHS Aviation Group has expanded its fleet in Switzerland with a Cessna Citation Latitude Jet and received the corresponding Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Swiss Federal Office of Civil Aviation. With the investment, the specialist for VIP flights can offer its customers more flexibility in travel planning. The company, based in Germany and Switzerland, organises individual passenger and business trips in state-of-the-art helicopters and jets.

The AOC is a prerequisite for being able to transport guests and freight commercially. For this, the air carrier had to prove that it had experienced personnel with extensive specialist knowledge as well as technical and economic reliability. For around 30 years, the BHS Aviation Group has fully met these requirements for air traffic with helicopters and since January 17 of this year following the arrival of the Latitude also with business jets.

By investing in private jets, the international provider of exclusive passenger and business travel is meeting the increasing demand for tailor-made charter flights. "We offer our customers a very flexible and personal service; fast, absolutely reliable and everything from a single source," confirms Daniel Suter, managing director of BHS Aviation AG. “We fly to short and medium-haul destinations that are less and less directly served by scheduled air traffic since the Covid restrictions. Our team finds the right and most efficient solution for every customer. For us, this begins, for example, with personal collection and escort on arrival at the private terminal as well as discreet, fast and reliable handling with high hygiene and quality standards. This allows us to offer our passengers a first-class travel experience.”

The latest addition to the BHS fleet is characterised by outstanding performance and state-of-the-art avionics. Even short runways like at London City Airport, can be flown to without any problems. For sustainable flight operations, the Citation Latitude can also be refuelled with sustainable aviation fuel (SAF). Thanks to the jet's long range, non-stop charter flights of up to 5,000 kilometres are possible. The spacious cabin with standing height and luxurious interior offers up to eight people every comfort for productive business trips and relaxing private flights.
