Silver Flight adds two Pilatus PC 12-NGX aircraft to fleet
August 28, 2022:Dutch private jet operator Silver Flight has expanded its fleet with two Pilatus PC 12-NGX aircraft, a hypermodern and versatile aircraft that is also multifunctional and, thanks to its ability to land on short runways, makes many more European destinations accessible.
Silver Flight has renewed its fleet with the latest version of the iconic Pilatus PC-12. “The NGX variant has just that little bit more to offer in terms of durability, comfort and innovation. We couldn't have asked for better additions to renew our fleet,” said Perry Roolvink, managing director of Silver Flight. “Silver Flight is growing, so an expansion was essential to continue to guarantee availability and flexibility. In addition, as a society, we want to continue to develop and improve ourselves in order to guarantee our travellers the highest standards in terms of quality, efficiency, comfort, convenience and sustainability.”
The cabin of the Pilatus PC-12-NGX version has been upgraded and is equipped with even larger windows that allow ten percent more daylight than its predecessor, the PC-12 NG. The aircraft is powered by the powerful PT6E-67XP turboprop engine with an electronic propeller. The NGX has an advanced cockpit with various innovations that make it easier for the pilot and therefore safer to fly. In order to achieve the high (technical) level, the design of this aircraft involved intensive collaboration between Pilatus Aircraft, Pratt & Whitney Canada, Honeywell and BMW Designworks.
Based at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, Silver Flight airline was founded in 2019 and has got off to a flying start. In doing so, the company has been able to rely on the strength of the Swiss aircraft manufacturer Pilatus Aircraft. Aircraft from this aircraft manufacturer are renowned for their particularly spacious seating and luggage space, versatility, stability, durability, safety and comfort. And the ability to land on very short runways, which means that no fewer than 2,500 European airports are accessible, almost three times as many as with a regular private plane. In this way, business and private travellers reach their final destination faster and more efficiently. Because the aircraft only have one engine, they are also considerably more environmentally friendly than regular aircraft. The CO2 released is fully compensated with the purchase of certified emission reduction units (CERs) from the United Nations.
From the end of August, PH-SFG and PH-SFH, the two PC-12-NGXs will be bookable and will make their firsst flying hours for Silver Flight. To give customers and interested parties the opportunity to get acquainted with the iconic PC-12 NGX, Silver Flight will host an event on November 3rd where the aircraft will be christened and everyone will have the opportunity to admire the aircraft.
