Barnes and iXAir join forces to create Barnes iXAir, a new approach to private aviation

Franch business aviation airline iXAir and the luxury real estate company Barnes are developing a joint brand, Barnes iXAir, aimed at a high-end international clientele.

Barnes, a major player in international luxury real estate, has been developing a global approach to the services provided to its customers for more than 20 years. Art advice, family office, yachting, equestrian, hunting or wine estates, decoration and life annuity; the Barnes offer covers a range that extends well beyond real estate itself.

In November 2021, in order to respond to growing demand from its French customers and international markets, Barnes has joined forces with iXAir to create Barnes iXAir, a new approach to private aviation.

“Constraints linked to confinements and health restrictions concerning both professional and leisure travel have highlighted the advantages of private aviation," notes Thibault de Saint Vincent, president of Barnes. "This is why we have decided to approach the airline iXAir, which shares our criteria of excellence and French art of living, in order to offer all of our customers an offer that is truly dedicated to them."

Business aviation has often appeared to be the only solution to ensure the continuity of essential travel in complete safety and with minimised risks of contagion since the start of the health crisis. The pandemic has also led to an increase in family flights by private jet during the summers of 2020 and 2021 after the cancellation of many scheduled flights, iXAir notes.

iXAir is a major player in business aviation in France, whether for a business trip or for a private trip, and for 20 years has been based at Paris-le-Bourget airport, which enabled it to carry more than 3,500 passengers in 2019. Operating short, medium and long-haul jets with four to 15 seats, the company can operate any flight in France and around the world. It relies on a fleet of aircraft dedicated to passenger transport and on a team of professionals accustomed to tailor-made solutions. iXAir meets the most rigorous international certifications; its crews and ground staff are all under French employment contracts. The maintenance of its aircraft is carried out in reference workshops, in particular at Le Bourget. Barnes iXAir can also advise on the acquisition, operation and sale of business jets.
