Jet Aviation expands US managed fleet and charter offering

October 12, 2021:

Jet Aviation announced today that it has expanded its managed fleet in the United States by 26 aircraft since the beginning of this year. 11 of these aircraft are also available for charter.

Of the 26 aircraft that have joined the management fleet in the U.S. between January 1 and September 30, 2021, 11 have selected Part 135 certification, meaning they are available for charter. This includes a mix of large and mid-sized aircraft. In addition, Jet Aviation has signed three aircraft to its newly authorised Part 125 certificate.

“We are committed to continued growth in the U.S., where the safety benefits and cost viability of private aviation are widely recognised,” said David Best, Jet Aviation's SVP of regional operations and general manager of the Americas. “Our goal is to make aircraft ownership simple by drawing on our extensive network, industry knowledge and personalised solutions, all supported by the highest industry standards.”

David Dalpiaz, the company's vice president of flight services in the USA, said, “It's been an exciting year, and we're delighted to see client retention and growth thanks to our range of services and solid safety performance. We are particularly pleased by multiple new deliveries, which demonstrate our ongoing commitment to new and emerging technologies so we can continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.”

Jet Aviation currently manages some 300 aircraft globally with 180 of those residing in the Americas. The charter fleet totals some 70 aircraft, with access to thousands more, from business liner to mid-size cabin.

Leslie Cheshier, vice president of owner and charter services in the USA, added, “As travel eases in parts of the world, we have seen a significant increase in demand for charter and aircraft flight and are pleased to confirm the addition of 11 aircraft to our charter fleet. These aircraft offer our customers even more choice about how and when to reach their destinations as we continue to serve their needs both domestically and abroad in this ever-changing climate. We strive to provide a variety of air charter solutions including ad hoc charter, block access, card access and our new Freedom Access programme.”

Jet Aviation's Freedom Access programme allows customers to interchange between block and card access according to their needs ensuring guaranteed availability globally.

“It is truly the programme of the future,” continues Cheshier. “Freedom Access was designed to give customers access to the open charter market and card pricing. Customers can always fall back on card pricing for one-ways, but also take advantage of great offerings in the market when available. The best part about the programme is that you can use any size aircraft including helicopters and airliners if necessary.”

Jet Aviation operates its global aircraft management and charter fleet out of its nine global operations centres located in Burbank, California; Chicago, Illinois; Teterboro, New Jersey; Valletta, Malta; Cologne, Germany; Zurich, Switzerland; Dubai, United Arab Emirates; Hong Kong; and Singapore.
