ProAir celebrates 25th anniversary with brand new Embraer Phenom 300E
September 14, 2021:"Exactly 25 years ago, we finally held the commercial register entry of our company in our hands and ProAir-Charter-Transport GmbH was officially founded," says managing director and founder Thomas Godau of the Stuttgart Airport based air charter brokerage and licensed operator. "More than two decades ago, we would not have believed that our company would take this development. Today, we organise over 1,000 individual charter flights per year, generate double-digit million revenues and have several locations worldwide.
"We started out as a cargo broker. Shortly afterwards, the product portfolio was expanded to include passenger charter services and our own aviation company. With six business divisions, we now offer aviation services from a single source," adds co-founder Elmar Monreal, himself a holder of a private pilot's licence. Here, flying is not only a profession but also a passion.
In the 25 years of the company's history, there have been many highlights, but of course there have also been setbacks. Its broad positioning as a service provider for both cargo and passenger flights has brought ProAir well through the Corona crisis. The loss of larger group flights to events and incentives was compensated by many cargo flights with vaccine serum, protective masks and semiconductors.
At present, the private jet sector is booming: "Because there are fewer scheduled flights, we have more holiday travellers and more companies allow business travellers to fly on business jets. In Corona times, this reduces the risk of infection."
In response to this demand, the company's own aviation company, ProAir Aviation GmbH, has in the meantime registered more than 25 aircraft in its operating licence (AOC D-150 EG). This week, for example, a brand-new Embraer Phenom 300E has been added to the operator's certificate. Comfort, speed and performance: the twin-engine super-light jet with eight seats is one of the most popular and most booked aircraft types in Europe. The newcomer is equipped to the highest standards.
"Sustainability is on everyone's lips at the moment, and we don't just want to talk about it, we want to act. ProAir customers can offset CO2 for every flight booked with the accredited partner atmosfair gGmbH. We are pleased, in the interest of all of us, to be able to make a small contribution to making our future even more positive," says ProAir co-founder and authorised signatory Kim Witschas.
A heartfelt thank you for 25 years of ProAir goes to all customers, business partners and employees. "Without them, ProAir would not be where we are today," says Thomas Godau, "We look forward to the future with excitement and look forward to many more flight projects."
