Titan Airways launches Titan Airways Malta

July 29, 2021:

London Stansted AIrport based charter airline Titan Airways is excited to announce the launch of its new European affiliate, Titan Airways Malta, following receipt today of an Air Operator Certificate (AOC) from the Civil Aviation Directorate at Transport Malta.

An Airbus A321-200 is the first aircraft to be added to the Maltese AOC. Two A321P2Fs will also join the 9H register this summer and Titan plans to add a further two of the EFW freight conversions in 2022.

"We are delighted to receive our Air Operator's Certificate from the Civil Aviation Directorate at Transport Malta today for Titan Airways Malta Limited. Thank you to our European partners, Katrina Abela and team from GVZH Advocates, Transport Malta and all our team for their hard work in establishing this new airline. We look forward to commencing both passenger and all-cargo operations with our fleet of A321 and A321P2Fs in the coming weeks," said Alastair Willson, managing director, Titan Airways Malta.

"Titan Malta has shown great ambition and eagerness to obtain the necessary certification from the Civil Aviation Directorate. Malta should be proud to add such a big company to our island. I would like to thank the company for having faith in us and investing in Malta and also thank all inspectors who worked diligently to meet the set targets within the timeframes," commented Cpt Charles Pace, director general of the Maltese Civil Aviation Directorate.

With Titan Airways Malta Titan Airways will be able to continue and extend its operational reach within Europe and further afield. The two companies will work closely together to maintain the high standards of safety, service and reliability for which they are known.
