ASL Group adds eight new aircraft to fleet, including first Falcon 7X and Legacy 500

September 3, 2020:

Belgium and Netherlands based ASL Group has introduced eight new aircraft to its management and charter fleet, supporting the growing demand for private jet activities and services in Europe. The group's fleet now surpasses 40 aircraft in operation.

Despite the heavy impact on commercial aviation and airline activities caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, ASL Group is currently in the process of adding eight aircraft to its fleet, of which most will be added onto the company's two AOCs (Air Operator Certificates) and offered to the charter market.

The company has experienced an increasing demand for both charter flights as well as for aircraft acquisition and management services over the last couple of months, as the offer for commercial airline services is heavily impacted by the coronavirus crisis.

"This is a very exciting moment for our company, especially in these challenging times that are deeply affecting the travel industry in general, and I am very proud of the incredible dedication of our teams who, despite the odds, are allowing our company to keep on growing at a sustained pace," says Philippe Bodson, CEO of ASL Group.

"I am thrilled and extremely honoured to welcome our very first Falcon 7X, which marks a very important milestone in the development of our activities and allows ASL Group to enter the ultra-long-range and heavy jet segment of the market. And in the meantime, the addition of other aircraft such as the Embraer Legacy 500 and an amazingly refurbished Embraer Legacy 600 clearly confirms the success of our operation the short and medium-haul segments. It also marks the confidence of our customers, old and new, in providing excellence and tailored services."

Among the aircraft being introduced in the fleet, the company is very proud to welcome its first ultra-long range Dassault Falcon 7X, along with its first Embraer Legacy 500. ASL was the launch customer and first commercial operator of the Embraer Legacy 450 back in 2016; the Legacy 500 being the stretched version of the Legacy 450. A second Legacy 500 will be joining the fleet in the coming weeks.

In addition to these brand new types, the company is also thrilled to introduce a completely refurbished Embraer Legacy 600, featuring a unique exterior design and cabin interior upgraded to the most recent Legacy 650 standards; a Cessna C680 Citation Sovereign, the fifth of the type to join the fleet; two Cessna C510 Citation Mustangs, bringing the total fleet size to six aircraft; and one Pilatus PC12NG, the second of the type for the company.

Except for the Pilatus PC12NG, all the other aircraft will be available for charter operations and will be based across the group's network of bases in Belgium and in the Netherlands, except for the new Cessna Citation Sovereign which is based in Bucharest, Romania.

1 x Embraer Legacy 600 - Eindhoven based (EHEH)
