Apertus Aviation launches 'Donate' environmental programme

May 4, 2020:

Apertus Aviation, a private jet charter consultancy headquartered in Hong Kong, has launched its 'Donate' programme to play its part in promoting a greener future.

According to research published by several organisations including United Nations, seven million hectares of forest are destroyed every year. To put that into perspective it is approximately 15 billion trees, or, an area roughly the size of Portugal every year. The mass destruction of trees causes large disruption to the world’s natural ecology and is a major cause of global warming.

With this large disruption, many species of animals are under pressure of extinction. The damage done to the world’s natural ecology has also started to affect human livelihoods. To better the world’s future, Apertus believes we need to start making positive changes.

By introducing the Donate programme, its goal is to support various charity organisations around the world to plant more trees, conduct research and offer environmental education so current and future generations can enjoy fresher air and more land can be returned to nature, encouraging a more balanced ecological cycle.

To begin the programme, Apertus has placed two of its branded products on sale through its website, where 100% of the profit generated will be donated to charity. Every quarter, Apertus will select an organisation to give the donation to. Through its regular newsletter and social media posts, it will provide a summary detailing the programme, the fund donated, the work that is being done and the positive cause it has contributed to.
