Russian Helicopters transfers two Mi-8MTV-1s to Yakutia

January 30, 2020:

Russian Helicopters Holding, a part of the Rostec State Corporation, has handed over two Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters manufactured by Kazan Helicopter Plant PJSC to Alrosa Airlines. The machines will carry out their mission in the Russian Republic of Sakha (Yakutia).

The Mi-8MTV-1 helicopters that were delivered under this contract are intended for the carriage of goods and passengers, as well as for duty on the ambulance programme. The helicopters are equipped with landing seats for 23 passengers, but seats have been prepared for the subsequent equipping of the cabin with a medical module and passenger seats. In addition, the machines have been modified for the installation of an external suspension and an onboard boom with a winch (LPG-150M). The Mi-8MTV-1 is capable of carrying external loads with a maximum weight of up to four tons, depending on the flight range, altitude of landing sites above sea level, air temperature and other factors.

Mi-8MTV-1 multi-purpose helicopters manufactured by Kazan Helicopter Plant PJSC have unique flight technical and operational characteristics. They can be used in almost all climatic conditions. The design and equipment of the Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter makes it possible to operate it autonomously based on unequipped sites.
