CAMTS re-accredits AirMed International

September 30, 2019:

The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems (CAMTS) has re-accredited AirMed International's critical care transport operations through July 2022. AirMed International is a Global Medical Response (GMR) company.

"Accreditation by CAMTS is the ultimate seal of approval in our industry for the safety and quality of medical transport services," said AirMed International president Denise Treadwell. "This public recognition is testament to the expertise that AirMed International demonstrates daily, the hard work of every employee to become the very best at performing their awesome responsibility to transport and care for our patients around the world," she added.

CAMTS accreditation covers AirMed's fleet of dedicated medical transports, pediatric intensive care, intra-aortic balloon pump for cardiac care, perinatal, neonatal and adult patients. The organisation's rigorous standards ensure AirMed's ability to address issues of patient medical care, aircraft safety and programme quality.

With global reach, AirMed International is one of the leading air medical transport companies in the world. Having performed more than 20,000 missions in all 50 states and over 150 countries on six continents, AirMed offers unparalleled medical care and has some of the most experienced air medical crews in the industry.

AirMed International offers medical care and bedside-to-bedside transportation on a worldwide basis from multiple strategically located bases. It is the preferred long-distance and international fixed-wing air medical transportation provider for many of the top hospitals in the United States, including the world-renowned Mayo Clinic.

AirMed International is also an approved carrier for the U.S. Department of Defense and has flown U.S. presidents and countless heads of state. AirMed operates a fleet of fully customised and permanently configured jets that are medically equipped for virtually every critical care scenario, regardless of patient age or location throughout the world.

Equipped with state-of-the-art medical jets and staffed by experienced and respected medical teams, AirMed is able to deliver an uncompromising standard of care. AirMed employs its own dispatch, flight and medical teams. This vertical integration ensures seamless service and world-class care 24/7/365. With accreditation from both CAMTS and the European Aeromedical Institute (EURAMI), AirMed is able to deliver an excellent transport experience to customers regardless of location.

AirMed International is part of Global Medical Response.
