Dutch private jet company Exxaero expands into Germany

July 3, 2019:

Exxaero, the private jet company based in the Netherlands, has established a German branch. Representatives of the German Luftfahrt Bundesamt today granted the company the AOC to operate aircraft from Weeze airport. Exxaero is starting with one private jet at the German airport but others will follow soon. Ground handling at Weeze is carried out by subsidiary Solid Handling, a trusted partner on German soil.

In the Netherlands, the airline has been active for many years in the private jet sector, whereby they also use Weeze airport infrastructure more often for take-offs and landings. For Exxaero, this AOC opens doors in the important German market. "Because we have an increasing number of German customers and fly a lot from Weeze, we have expanded our airline to Germany," explains Rogier Buijs CEO Exxaero Germany. "For German customers, handling is now even easier if they book their flights at our German branch and fly on a German-registered aircraft."

Airport Weeze as the basis for four more jets

The aircraft with which Exxaero GmbH today officially established itself at Weeze is a Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1 with six seats. This aircraft is used for destinations within Europe. "We will quickly expand the offer on Weeze, because the demand for private flights is high in Germany," says Rogier Buijs. "Within a year we will station four more aircraft in Weeze. Exxaero GmbH currently has five office employees and four pilots for the first aircraft in Weeze."

Exxaero is based at the airport of Eindhoven, Amsterdam and Weeze and specialises in private charter flights, aircraft management and the purchase and sale of private jets. The company has different types of private jets in its fleet: Dassault Falcon 900B, Falcon 900C, Falcon 900EX, Dassault Falcon 2000, Cessna Citation Sovereign and Hawker Beechcraft Premier 1A.
