Gestair obtains approval for CAT II operations

June 25, 2019:

With the objective of continuous improvement, excellence in service and maximum safety, Gestair has obtained CAT II operations approval from the Spanish Aviation Safety and Security Agency (AESA) for landing operations in conditions of low visibility for its Global 6000 fleet.

This approval gives Gestair aircraft a greater operating capacity as it allows them to land in airports which, having the appropriate ground facilities available, are faced with adverse weather conditions with regard to visibility. Without this approval, the flight to this airport would need to be cancelled and planned again, this time to another destination with more favourable conditions. Thanks to said new approval, this will no longer be necessary.

Passengers of Gestair, with a fleet of 37 business aircraft, now won't have to move any further from the airport closest to their final destination as a result of low visibility weather conditions.
