Castle Air extends capability into AW139 market

May 2, 2019:

Castle Air Limited, a leading player in the charter, sales, engineering and management of Leonardo AgustaWestland products and an authorised Leonardo service centre, has extended its capability into the AW139 market.

It identified that its growing VIP and HNWI client base was dictating larger, more luxurious helicopters capable of travelling longer distances in greater comfort and speed.

The AW139 offers state-of the-art avionics and optimises operational efficiency. Passengers enjoy a relaxing, comfortable flight due to the large cabin finished with luxurious furnishings and trim with incredibly low noise and vibration levels.

Castle Air has spent the last two years making significant investment to expand its engineering, operational and pilot services to ensure it is positioned to succeed in this luxury market. With the support infrastructure and approvals in place it recently purchased two AW139s.

Ross Bunyard, managing director of Castle Air said, 'Working with our valued client we identified a large area in the VIP market that has not been correctly served. We did our research and identified a big gap in the VIP travel market, so we took the plunge and made significant investment to own a share of this important market sector; so far the response from our clients has been nothing but positive as we have already bought and sold two AW139s, which we now plan to manage and offer for charter on behalf of our clients; as well as having new sales in the pipeline.'

Furthermore, Castle Air has further expanded its engineering capability and can now offer in-country engineering support for the AW109 and AW139 products. It has recently signed contracts to work in other geographical regions and is actively seeking further opportunities.
