Avionco operates a Challenger 850 under its 2-REG AOC from Guernsey.

Avionco and GetJet announce partnership to enhance customer access to charter services

August 27, 2018:

Nine months into its new charter service, Avionco Ltd has moved to create a new alliance with GetJet charter sales and marketing. Avionco's CEO, Mike Dodd, acknowledged that private and business charter customers require more flexible, technology assisted booking at competitive prices.

“We're interested in providing a charter service that makes it easier and more cost effective for our customers to access our aircraft. Our first step was to register our AOC with 2-REG in Guernsey, Channel Islands last year which has been proven to be very effective. The second was to find the right sales and marketing partner. The big learning curve for us here was about our customer base. They want app based accessibility to select aircraft and make bookings. They want quick access with strong customer support. That's why we chose GetJet.”

Roberto Hlaca, VP sales and marketing at GetJet added that “The team at Avionco is entrepreneurial and shares our focus on providing a great customer experience. Its Challenger 850 jet will do just that for our charter customers. This CL850 is a converted CRJ200 with luxury seating for 16 and a very large baggage capacity suitable for many purposes. Hauling equipment for things like golf trips or ski trips will be no problem. Even funerals can be accommodated as this baggage hold is large enough to carry a coffin.”

Both Avionco and GetJet share similar goals for charter services and are now supported by the Avinode Marketplace app, allowing users to find and book flights while taking advantage of empty leg and flight merging opportunities. This allows GetJet to book one way requests and combine them with other potential trips on the GetJet platform, merging them to create fewer empty leg flights resulting in more cost effective trips for customers. Mr. Dodd reinforced their combined ability to provide flexible, responsive services stating, “In our case we think smaller is better for charter services. Our size, and that of GetJet, creates seamless communication between senior individuals within our teams to make clear decisions that keep things moving forward for better customer service.”

By working together the two companies hope to build brand awareness in Europe as an alternative to larger, more cumbersome choices that private or business travelers might make.
