National Jets hires James Dent as vice president of flight operations

National Jets is pleased to announce the appointment of James (Jim) Dent as vice president of flight operations.

Jim brings with him a diverse background offering more than 50 years of aviation experience. Jim began his aviation career as a private pilot, obtaining his license at age 16. Jim was instrumental in helping to develop and write the B727 pilot training program for Burnside Ott in Miami and became its program instructor at the age 24. Throughout his career Jim has grown to fulfill the duties of chief pilot and director of operations for well-known south Florida Part 135 operators. He brings with him more than 23,000 hours of flight time and has worldwide operating experience as a commercial pilot.

Jim has already assisted National Jets' flight group as director of training providing enhancements to the company's curriculum and development of its new General and Flight Standards Operating Manuals. Jim will be responsible for all divisions within National Jets' Part 135 program and the company looks forward to the further refinement and expansion of its operations with the experience that he brings to the position.
