Stratajet honoured by industry elite at Sapphire Pegasus Business Aviation Awards

Stratajet has landed a prestigious award at one of the private aviation industry's most celebrated ceremonies.

The Sapphire Pegasus Awards honour outstanding performance by companies or individuals in the business aviation sector. The recent awards gala dinner saw the industry's elite gather at Prague's Boscolo Luxury Hotel.

Following a two-tier selection process, comprising online voting and judging by an advisory board, Stratajet triumphed in the 'Broker: Aircraft Broker, Charter Broker, etc' category.

In the thirty days of online voting, 28,633 votes were submitted for the 78 nominations across 12 categories. With other nominees in the 'Broker' category including well-established industry providers such as Fly Victor and JetSmarter, Stratajet faced stiff competition but claimed 30% of the online votes. This first stage constituted 40% of the overall result, before the advisory board, an esteemed panel of eight industry experts, whose verdict comprised the other 60%, selected their winner.

Stratajet is a cutting-edge technology that has streamlined private jet travel, giving fliers the simplest means of comparing and booking from a range of aircraft, right at their fingertips. The only platform with this capability, it can guarantee the best price of aircraft, making private jet travel more accessible to a wider audience of travellers.

Founded by former RAF pilot and military officer Jonny Nicol, Stratajet launched to the flying public in April 2016 after five years of research and development, the time it took to build the platform's sophisticated technology. Initially available in 44 countries across Europe before expansion to the United States in October 2016, Stratajet has gone from strength to strength, growing by 40% month on month and achieving a $10 million run rate within six months.
