Jet Edge International expands New York area aircraft management operations

Jet Edge International, a leading large-cabin private jet management and charter operator, has added its 12th charter jet serving the greater New York City metro area, expanding from three aircraft a year ago, and increased service and support functions at three regional offices.

Jet Edge operates a full-service facility in Teterboro, including aircraft hangars, maintenance functions, parking and transient aircraft operations.

“We looked at a number of potential acquisitions in the local and regional New York City metropolitan area over the last 18 months as a way to expand our footprint in the northeast,” said Bill Papariella, chief executive officer, Jet Edge International. “After careful consideration, we determined that an investment in our company would solidify the type of organic growth we are looking for and provide us with an ability to shape the culture as our own from day one. Jet Edge has steadily grown our eastern fleet in 2016 since we made our decision to build instead of buy.”

Additions to the company's domestic charter fleet this year include 13 Gulfstream business jets, bringing the total number of Gulfstream aircraft managed and operated by Jet Edge to 42. The northeast additions also include three Gulfstream GIVSPs, four Gulfstream G200s, a Gulfstream G550, and a Gulfstream GV.
