IJM MENA fleet grows with Challenger 604

May 24, 2016:

IJM MENA, the joint venture of International Jet Management (IJM) and MENA Aerospace, has signed another aircraft management agreement for a Challenger 604 aircraft. IJM MENA will handle all aspects of management for the new plane. The Bahraini registered aircraft will be added to the Bahraini AOC of IJM MENA.

The aircraft will be based in Bahrain and parked in the aircraft hangar of MENA Aerospace at Bahrain International Airport. In addition, the aircraft owner will benefit from the aircraft handling possibilities of the company at Bahrain International Airport.

Beside the owner's personal use, the aircraft will be available for charter flights from summer 2016 onwards. The 10 seater aircraft is the perfect choice for flights within the region as well as for flights to Europe, Asia, Africa and holiday destinations like Seychelles, Mauritius and the Maldives. The aircraft charter will be handled by AC Aviation Charter, the global charter sales agent of IJM.

With this latest addition, the IJM fleet of business jets in the Middle East is raised to five aircraft. Beside the Challenger 604, IJM MENA can also offer a Legacy 600 aircraft for charter flights out of Bahrain. The other aircraft in the region are operated exclusively for the aircraft owner.

"We are very proud to be the operator of choice for this aircraft and we are very pleased to see our Bahraini operations growing. We are looking forward to having this additional charter aircraft based in Bahrain beside our Embraer Legacy 600 aircraft. The new Challenger 604 is a beautiful aircraft with the interior just refurbished, and we are sure there will be a lot of charter demand for this aircraft" stated Bernhard Wipfler, general manager of IJM MENA.

The addition of the new Challenger 604 strengthens the company's presence in the Middle East. "We saw a lot of activities in the field of aircraft management from the beginning of our partnership with IJM. This latest addition to our fleet of aircraft is certainly another great achievement for IJM MENA. The local infrastructure and the network of MENA Aerospace combined with the expertise of IJM in the field of business aviation is a recipe for success", said Omar Matar, CEO of MENA Aerospace.

IJM MENA offers aircraft management services and promotes, sells and coordinates V-VIP and corporate travel on chartered business jets. The company is setting a new standard in private business aviation, combining the unrivalled regional presence and experience of MENA Aerospace with IJM's in-depth industry knowledge and expertise.

"I am very happy to see the next addition to the fleet of aircraft of IJM MENA. It was our clear goal from the beginning of our partnership with MENA Aerospace to add additional aircraft to the operations of IJM MENA and strengthen our presence in the Middle East. I am very pleased to see our joint efforts were a success" adds Felix Feller, CEO and owner of IJM.

IJM MENA continues to review global companies for future partnerships and strategic alliances and anticipates a positive outcome from discussions with the many attending companies during the EBACE, further strengthening its position within the region.
