GainJet extends network further into Europe as it establishes GainJet Ireland

November 23, 2015:

VIP charter operator, GainJet Aviation S.A has established a subsidiary base at Shannon airport in Ireland. GainJet is in the process of setting up operations‎ out of Ireland in an effort to expand its coverage of Europe and the west, while also supporting its current operations in the process.

GainJet ceo, Captain Ramsey Shaban explains: “GainJet has been looking at expanding our operations in support of our current structure as we continue to grow. We examined several EU options, but we felt Ireland has a lot going for it and hence major companies have moved their bases there. We chose Shannon because, similar to Athens, it is a European base that is strategically located and connects continents. Moreover, Shannon has become a major aviation hub for leasing companies and for Atlantic crossing traffic. ”

The managing director of the International Aviation Services Centre (IASC), a subsidiary of Shannon Group plc, Mr. Patrick Edmond said: “We are delighted to welcome GainJet to Shannon. The company is joining over 50 aviation-related businesses already operating in the Shannon Free Zone. Shannon is putting a particular focus on the area of business and corporate aviation, and a commitment such as this by a leading player such as GainJet is a vote of confidence in the aviation ecosystem developed here over decades and reaffirms Shannon's attractiveness for aerospace and aviation related activity. A key part of our role in IASC is to support and encourage the development of the aviation cluster here in Shannon. We congratulate GainJet and we look forward to working with them closely in the coming months to support the further successful expansion of their business in Shannon.”

GainJet Ireland is in the process of setting up its new Irish AOC and plans to begin charter operations by early 2016. Shaban states: “The team at IASC in Shannon airport have been very supportive of our efforts and have been easy to work with as we inch closer to finalizing the set-up of our new subsidiary base at Shannon. We are planning to base three aircraft in Shannon as part of GainJet Ireland within the next six months, including two business jets and a medevac aircraft.” Shaban continues: “While we continue to look at expansion into Africa and the Middle East, our primary base of operation is still very much in Europe. We are very excited with GainJet Ireland.”
