Sovereign Business Jets breaks into mid-size charter market with addition of Hawker 800B

Sovereign Business Jets has introduced a Hawker 800B into its charter fleet. The aircraft will be based at Sovereign's head office and operational centre at London Biggin Hill Airport.

Sovereign Business Jets, part of AYR Group, launched its charter operation in 2014 and has attained a successfully positive response to its service-focussed strategy.

Director of operations, Glen Smith, states “This particular Hawker 800B, G-VIPI is well known in the UK charter market, and has always been highly regarded. Our entire philosophy revolves around delivering service of the highest quality, and this will be further enhanced as our passengers will enjoy a cabin attendant's service on every flight.”

He added, “Having previously operated Hawker 700s, 800s and 800XPs, I believe this aircraft model remains very popular as it offers excellent comfort over those longer 3-5 hour sectors. We will be adding further light and mid-size aircraft over the next 12 months”.

The G-VIPI's cabin is tastefully finished in light grey leather with five individual seats and a three-seat side facing divan. This aircraft is not subject to owner's release and will be approved to carry pets into the UK through its base at London Biggin Hill.

The timing of this addition to the fleet coincides impeccably with the announcement of the extended operating hours at London Biggin Hill, Sovereign's base of operations.
