Aero-Dienst deploys brand-new Embraer Phenom 300 from Dusseldorf

November 16, 2011:

Just one month after expanding its business jet fleet with an additional CJ3 based in Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich, Aero-Dienst has taken delivery of a brand- new Embraer Phenom 300. Aero-Dienst recently managed to win yet another new aircraft management customer, whose aircraft will now be operated by the Nuremberg professionals out of Dusseldorf with immediate effect. It means that Aero-Dienst will for the first time be stationing an aircraft outside Bavaria, and it is one that exudes Brazilian flair in its cabin interior.

Carrying the identification D-CHLR, the Phenom 300 is the first aircraft of this type to be used commercially in continental Europe. With a range of more than 3,400 kilometres and a flight time of up to four and a half hours, it now allows non-stop flights to destinations such as Reykjavik, Bergen, Helsinki, St. Petersburg, Moscow, Istanbul, Cairo, Malaga and the Canary Islands from Dusseldorf.

Aero-Dienst employs three pilots for the Phenom 300 at its Dusseldorf base, all of whom are qualified for this new role with many years of flying experience.

The ultramodern aircraft offers an attractive combination of cutting-edge technology, contemporary styling, convincing performance and the best interior features, setting new standards in the light jet category. The Phenom 300 features an outstanding ramp appeal: the swept wings with winglets and the sleek fuselage ensure an elegant appearance.

The cabin offers maximum comfort up to six passengers and is regarded as the biggest in this aircraft category. Entry into the aircraft is by means of solid steps and a large door. Inside, bright colours, leather seats, high-end materials, a fully-equipped galley, satellite telephone, cutting-edge on-board entertainment electronics, large windows and a separate toilet meet the very highest standards and guarantee relaxed travel. Two Pratt & Whitney PW535-E engines deliver a rapid climb to about 45,000 feet (more than 13,000 metres) and a travelling speed of up to 840 km/h – and that with reduced fuel consumption. The contemporary cockpit fittings meet the very latest technical standards, with modern flight management systems that are based on the equipment used in commercial airliners. Carbon brakes and a bleed air anti-icing system are other technical features that are as yet unique in the light jet category.

The Phenom 300 was delivered from the Embraer plant in the city of Sao José dos Campos of Brazil to Germany last week, where the technical and flight operations acceptance procedures were carried out by the Federal Aviation Agency (Luftfahrtbundesamt, LBA).

"We are delighted to have the Phenom 300 in our fleet, the only commercial supplier in continental Europe to do so", says Andreas Strabel, Key Account and Aircraft Management team leader at Aero- Dienst. "That we have just recently been able to win two new aircraft management customers demonstrates the positive perception that customers have of our professional team, and that is something that fills us all with pride. The Dusseldorf base means we are not only expanding our range of locations and offering companies there an attractive alternative for business travel, but are also now active beyond our existing bases in Bavaria. That proves the high regard in which Aero-Dienst is held by German business aviation and among its customers."
