Krimson launches Ethiopian brokerage
Ethiopia-based flight support company Krimson Aviation has commenced charter broker services. Founder and CEO Dawit Lemma explains that local operators started to approach him to help them sell seats and the brokerage idea grew from there.
Lemma is a Swiss citizen of Ethiopian origin and has lived and worked all over the world. After spending nearly 30 years abroad he returned to Ethiopia in 2012 having recognised the opportunities offered by Ethiopia's economic resurgence.
He says: "Ad hoc charter in East Africa is dominated by turboprops. However, economic growth is increasing demand for corporate charters. The country lacks adequate commercial air transport infrastructure that should be supporting quick and efficient movement of goods and people."
