SuperFly practices diversity and opens Dubai office

UK-headquartered SuperFly has opened a charter office in Dubai after seeing a 131 per cent year-on-year increase in its completed ad hoc and empty leg charter bookings, around a third of which come from the Middle East. Director Sam Farshian says: "I'd rather have 20 staff spread across five cities than 200 staff all in the same building." To support the opening he has recruited brand ambassador and UAE client liaison Maria Stavridi, who will be working under rotating senior staff from London until a permanent manager is recruited locally.

SuperFly has other offices in London, Los Angeles, Melbourne and Marbella, and Farshian wants the company to be as diverse as its client base. He believes it is important to harness diversity in recruitment in terms of ethnicity, ideas, disability, gender and age. He says: "An investment in diversity is an investment in unique skills, new ideas, insights and connections. Inclusion is getting the mix to work well to create a healthy work culture. This wonderful melting pot directly impacts a company's bottom line. In short: profit."
