San Marino AOC widens scope for FTC

Read this story in our FlipViewer digital magazine.

Swiss business aviation operator FTC has received an AOC issued by the CAA of the Republic of San Marino and opened a new company office in the country.

The San Marino AOC allows FTC to register aircraft in San Marino and commercially operate throughout the world regardless of the aircraft base.

“We have made another successful step to satisfy the wishes of our existing and future clients, which demonstrates our maximum commitment to satisfying their needs,” says FTC CEO Hugo Jakob. “The San Marino AOC has already allowed us to introduce the first Bombardier Challenger 650 aircraft into the commercial aircraft registry. This will also allow us to be more competitive in the business aviation market, reducing operating costs and providing more services to clients.”

FTC's new San Marino office will make its services more accessible to clients. Located in the World Trade Center building, which also houses the Civil Aviation Authority of San Marino, the facility is expected to enable better cooperation with the authority. Marinella Amici has become the office administrative secretary. Headquartered in Zurich for 20 years with offices in Moscow, Dubai and Riga, FTC's San Marino launch marks its fifth representative office. The operator also has established relationships with international registries, including VP-C (Cayman Islands), P4- (Aruba) and M- (Isle of Man), and is IS-BAO Stage III approved.

FTC was founded in January 1991 and has been offering a range of corporate and private business jet management services, as well as charter flight organisation throughout the world for more than 25 years. The company also supports the acquistion, sale and refitting of business jets. Besides its own flight operations department, it offers an engineering and technical service, which provides technical condition reports according to international standards and safety requirements.
