Makers Air reveals new name at boat show

Fort Lauderdale-based Watermakers Air, which operates a scheduled service to the Bahamian Islands in addition to its ad hoc work, debuted a new name and brand at the 2018 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show, which took place from 31 October to 4 November. The operator will now be known as Makers Air.

"With Watermakers Air we set out to create an island airline that provided top level service to remote Bahamian destinations and eliminated the challenges of commercial flying," comments owner and CEO David Hocher. "Now, with Makers Air, we've taken our brand promise to the next level by creating a tailored passenger experience that is focused on customer service and connecting our clients with the Out Islands of The Bahamas."

Along with the new name and rebrand, Makers Air will also be debuting a new, mobile-friendly website in early 2019, with a greatly improved online booking process.
