AirX appoints music royalty before stock market launch

Malta-headquartered AirX, which already has an office in Knightsbridge, London, has recently opened an office in Fort Lauderdale, US, having just started its US operation six months ago with two Citation Xs.

Given the diverse nature of its fleet the company has been busy of late flying a number of international football teams to the World Cup in Russia on its 100-seater A340, as well as European clubs on one of its three Boeing 737s. The fleet also comprises seven Challenger 850s, two Legacy 600s and four Citation Xs. "We have an aircraft for all occasions," says head of public and investor relations James Collins.

The company has also signed its first music ambassadors, Queen + Adam Lambert, who it helped support on their recent European tour.

Collins adds: "As AirX continues to grow we will look at external investment to further fuel this, as well as looking at a possible listing on the London Stock Exchange next year."

It has also appointed Justin Scarborough as head of strategy and investor relations. Scarborough has more than 25 years' experience in the financial markets and in business analysis, and fulfilled a similar role until earlier this year at Air Partner as director of corporate development and investor relations.

Scarborough will be working alongside Collins to ensure that AirX delivers a consistent and effective communication strategy. He will be responsible for creating and executing the investor relations strategy, and leading engagement and communication with the investment community. In addition he will be focused on helping to develop corporate strategy, and identify and execute opportunities, organic as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Collins adds: "Justin will be a key member of the team AirX is building as we make our way to a listing on the London Stock Exchange."
